About Patrick Zion

Patrick Zion Hi, I am Patrick Zion, and I am a fractal artist. I create most of my abstract work in a fractal-generating app called FRAX. Thus, my psychedelic art is based on fractals. Fractals are similar patterns occurring in nature. That is why the shell of a snail has the same shape as the Milky Way galaxy, or why tree branches align in the same way a trail left by lighting does. That is what inspires me. What Fractals The graphics in the app I am using are based on the mathematically designed fractals called Mandelbrot and Julia, respectably bearing the names of their creators. Thanks to the many options for manipulating the patterns, it offers almost limitless possibilities for creating wonderful and captivating designs. In The Beginning I grew up in Poland in the Hip Hop culture when I was younger. And I always dreamed of being a graffiti artist. Having made only two amateur graffiti in total, thus I dropped this hobby in pursuit of personal growth and finding other means of self-expression which I found in music. Several years ago, however, some years after I moved to Brooklyn, New York in the US, I discovered the app I am working with. I quickly realized its nearly endless capabilities for creating by its means graffiti-like designs. As a result it rekindled my passion for this form of art and I decided to put all of my energy and focus into it. And that is how I became an fractal artist. For Who? So, that being said, my work I reckon can appeal, for example, to graffiti, abstract, spiritual, fractal as well as psychedelic art enthusiasts. End Note To sum up, of course, it feels good to be appreciated as an artist. But I would do it regardless of whether I would get paid for it or not. My art is my therapy. It is one of my passions. And I wish upon anyone to find something through which they can express themselves. What brings with it meaning, joy, self-understanding, and purpose into our lives.
